Collection: Grassy Creek Brooms

Jerry and Judy Lovenstein of Mountain View, Arkansas, use the old fashioned, hand-tying method to create their Grassy Creek Handcrafted Brooms. Broom handles are primarily selected from native sassafras saplings. Broomcorn is used for the sweep bound by galvanized wire which is covered with stalks and jute in a weaving pattern called plaiting, which dates back to Puritan settlers. Both European "round" and Shaker "flat" brooms are offered because the both express American tradition and possess historical value.
