Soyoon Ahn

Soyoon Ahn is a potter, painter, and art educator at Arkansas Tech University where she received a BFA in fine arts. Born in Seoul, many of her artworks are influenced by Korean folk arts, called “Minwha.” She has experimented with various surface decorations for ceramics such as an inlay technique with porcelain slip, painting with cobalt carbonate, and sgraffito with underglaze. Soyoon now lives in Russellville, Arkansas.
